日本人のマナーの良さや食事のおいしさなどを称賛する一方、文化が異なるからこそ不便さを感じたこともあるようです。彼らが日本でどんなことに気づいたのかを振り返ります。

◼日本にハマらなかったドイツ人
▽「また来たいかと言われたらごめんなさい」 初訪日のドイツ人が日本で困った出来事とは
ドイツ人のキーノさんとヴァレーナさんは、今回が初めての訪日。さまざまな観光スポットをめぐるなか、ヴァレーナさんには、少し残念に感じたことがありました。
「日本の旅行はとても貴重な経験でした。でも、また来たいかと言われたら、ごめんなさい。どちらというと私にはハマらなかった気がします。一番の理由は、日本のみなさんが英語をほぼ話さないこと。カフェやレストランに行ってもなかなか注文できないなど、それが少し残念だなと感じてしまいました」
キーノさんも、コミュニケーションがうまく取れないことにもどかしさを感じたそう。日本人の英語力向上を期待する一方で、日本語の習得に意欲を見せていました。
◼日本の住宅に不便さを感じているアメリカ人
▽「トイレへ行くのにも覚悟がいる」 アメリカ人が驚いた 日本の住宅の当たり前とは
日本で語学学校に通いながら、宣教師をしているアメリカ人のエリックさん。1年半前に妻子とともに日本に移住しました。現在は慣れたものの、暮らし始めたときに驚いたことがあったといいます。
「日本の住宅にはセントラルヒーティングがないこと！ アメリカの一般的な住宅はみんなセントラルヒーティングがあって、冬でも家中が同じ気温で暖かいんだ。日本はリビング以外が寒い！」
日本の場合、賃貸などの集合住宅にはエアコンが備えつけてありますが、暖かいのは部屋の中まで。廊下や浴室、トイレでは寒さを感じることがほとんどです。
「いつも、リビングを出るタイミングで服を着込んでいるよ。トイレへ行くのにも、日本だと覚悟がいるよね」と、母国との違いに衝撃を受けている様子でした。
◼お弁当を食べる場所探しに苦労したオランダ人
▽「日本の人たちはどうしているの？」 初訪日のオランダ人が思わずこぼした日本で困ったこと
オランダから初めて日本にやってきた、ピーターさんとルイーザさん。日本を旅行するなかで人気グルメを堪能し、とくに日本のお弁当に大興奮したそう。ただ、あることに困っていました。
「お弁当を食べるところに困りました。日本の歩道には、ベンチとか少し座れる場所がないですよね。なので、公園を探して食べたんですが、少し疲れたときや座りたいときなど、日本の人たちはいったいどうしているんでしょう？」
日本では、浮浪者対策や安全対策などさまざまな理由から、海外と比べると歩道などに設置されているベンチ数が、確かに少ないかもしれません。ただ、高齢化が進んでいることもあり、ベンチを増やす取り組みをする自治体が増えているようです。
ふたりにとって、おいしい食べ物や独特な文化に触れながら、母国との違いを発見できた旅になりました。

日本の英語教育はあくまでも英文法学を徹底的に教えてるだけです
数学や物理や歴史と同じノリです
入試試験で篩い分けする為だけの教育です
会話をするとかには重きを置いていません
ですから何年日本で英語（受験英語）を学んでも話せるようにはなりません
日本人が作った英検やTOEICでいくら上位になっても話せるようにはなりません（すぐには話せるようにはなりません）
全ては学校の入試、会社の入試の為の手段としての英語教育・英語資格です
だから日本人は何年も英語を勉強してるから話せるとか思い込むのは間違いですそんなのは幻想です
日本の英語教育システム上の問題なので
ある意味仕方ないのです

世界に日本語植民地を作ったことのある日本政府が
そんなことわからないわけないわけ
それは意図的にそうした
ひらがな漢字のアルファベット化まで推進するGHQに対して
英語教育の阻止は日本語保護のための責務
だから国は面倒見ないため
それを踏まえた個人がカバーするべき

知り合いは流暢に英語話すんだよな
英会話やって3年くらいとか言ってたかな
やっぱ英会話の学習は特別だよな
確かに英検とかTOEICとか資格持っててもあまり役立たないしあと英会話はセンスとかもあると思うな
そいつはFラン高卒
ただし勉強嫌いだっただけで地頭はいいはず
両親の職業とかからそう思ったりする
因みに自分は都内有名私立大卒でTOEICは800点台かな
今年は英会話に本気出す予定
毎年言ってるけどなw
