三菱UFJ銀行の行員が支店の貸金庫から10数億円相当の金品を盗み取っていた問題で、この行員は顧客用の鍵のスペアキーを使って貸金庫を開けていたことがわかりました。スペアキーは支店で管理されていましたが、銀行は不備があったとして今後は本部で一括管理するよう見直す方針で、近く会見を開いて詳しく説明する見通しです。
三菱UFJ銀行では、練馬支店と玉川支店に勤めていた管理職の行員が4年半にわたって支店の貸金庫を無断で開け、中に入っている金品を盗み取っていたことが明らかになりました。
銀行は被害額が時価にして10数億円にのぼるとしていて、先月、この行員を懲戒解雇しています。
銀行はこれまで具体的な手口を明らかにしていませんが、この管理職の行員は顧客に渡している鍵のスペアキー＝「予備鍵」を使って貸金庫を開けていたことが関係者への取材でわかりました。
