東京は、貧しい街である
きらびやかな街々が広がり、いまも次々と巨大なビルの建設が続く東京。ここはグローバル規模で見ても類いまれな巨大都市であり、世界中から富がかき集められ、資本主義の豊かな果実をそのまま体現しているようにすら見える。
しかしそれでも、はっきり伝えておく必要がある。
東京は豊かな街ではないと。
国土交通省の資料「都道府県別の経済的豊かさ（可処分所得と基礎支出）」によると、東京の所得と支出のバランスで「豊かさ」を捉えた場合、東京都民としての標準的な暮らしむきはそこまで豊かではないどころか、全国的に見ればどちらかといえば「貧しい」部類に入るといっても過言ではない。

お金配りで有名な実業家など桁外れの富裕層が全国（ひいては全世界）から集中するメガロポリスだからこそ見かけ上の所得平均値は突出して高くなるが、世帯中央値で切り分けると全国的に見て「中の上」くらいの所得水準の人が多い。それに対して物価や家賃といった避けがたい支出は全国で突出してかさばる。東京はきわめてコスパの悪い街であることが見えてくる。
「キラキラ感」に引き寄せられ「搾取」される若者たち
ところで、地方から若者の流出が止まらない。その多くは東京へと吸い寄せられるように集まっている。
世間では、地方から若者が離れる原因として「仕事がないから」とか「生活が苦しいから」といった意見がしばしば挙げられる。しかしながら、地域にもよるがそうした説明は雇用や所得の統計データとは必ずしも整合的ではない。そうした要因で説明できる側面が完全にゼロであるとまでは言わないが、それだけでは「若者の流出」の全貌を把握するのは難しいだろう。それ以外になにか大きな要因が別にあって、それが若者の地方離れを加速させている。
若者たちの視点で見たときに、東京にあって地方（地元）にないのは新奇性を帯びた華やかさ、俗な表現を使えば「キラキラ感」であり、それに引き寄せられるように全国から若者（とくに若い女性）がかき集められる。
かき集められた若者たちは、東京に大勢いる富裕層（資本家）の優雅で便利で豪華で快適な暮らしを支えるエコシステムに組み込まれ、なおかつかれらが生み出した経済活動がさらに東京の「キラキラ感」の源になり、全国から若者を誘惑する循環構造をつくりだす。東京は、地方から若い労働力を安く買い叩いて大きな“利ざや”を出すその返礼として、地方に多額の交付金を出す。人とカネの交換を日本規模で行うダイナミズムの動力装置が東京なのである。
若者は自分の意思で地元を離れて東京に移り住んでいるのだが、しかしあえて悪く表現すれば、（東京の“平均”所得を大幅に押し上げる）資本家が享受する豊かさや利便性のために誘われてわざわざ「搾取」されに行っているともいえる。かりに北陸や東北に地元があるなら、そこにいたほうが豊かな暮らしを送れるかもしれないのに、それでも離れるのだ。東京がまぶしいからだ。

日本一所得の低い沖縄県の出生率が１．８０
出生率の改善は家族や地域で子育てを助け合えるか否かが重要であって、
政策や補助金はそれを補う二次的な要素でしかないよ。
助け合いを断絶する都市部一極集中を解消すればいいだけで
そのために都市部に特別な税を課してそれを地方へ分配したり
都市部と過疎部で一票の格差を設けるのは公共の福祉だよ。
