新型コロナウイルスの次世代ワクチンをめぐり、“非科学的な誹謗中傷を繰り返し受けた”などとして、開発元の製薬会社が立憲民主党の原口一博衆院議員を提訴することを明らかにしました。
製薬会社の「Meiji Seika ファルマ」によりますと、原口衆院議員は今年6月ごろからSNSなどで、細胞内でメッセンジャーRNAが複製される新型コロナワクチン「レプリコンワクチン」を「生物兵器」、製薬会社を「731部隊」と表現するなど、非科学的な誹謗中傷を繰り返したとしています。

製薬会社はきょう午後、原口議員に名誉を毀損されたとして、1000万円の損害賠償を求め、東京地裁に提訴することを明らかにしました。
これに対し、原口議員の事務所は「コメントできない」としています。

訴訟提起に関するお知らせ
当社は、東京地方裁判所に対し、立憲民主党に所属する衆議院議員である原口一博氏を被告とする名誉毀損に基づく損害賠償請求訴訟を提訴することとしましたので、下記の通りお知らせいたします。

1.訴訟の概要
（1）原告

立憲民主党衆議院議員原ロ一博氏

名誉毀損に基づく損害賠償請求
（4）提訴裁判所東京地方裁判所
（5）提訴年月日2024年12月25日
2.訴訟提起に至った経緯
原口氏は2024年6月頃より、SNS（ソーシャル・ネットワーク・システム）上において当社の信用を毀損する内容及び虚偽の内容を含む投稿や動画配信等（以後、「当該行為」）を繰り返し行っており、当社は、令和6年10月9日に、同氏に対して、今後、当該行為を行わないように求める旨の警告書を送付いたしました。
その後、当社は、令和6年10月15日に、同氏から、令和6年10月14日付けの「ご回答」と称する書面を受領しましたが、今後、当該行為を行わない旨の回答が得られなかったため、本件訴訟を提起するに至りました。
3.訴訟の内容
衆議院議員として多大な社会的影響力を持つ被告が、YouTubeなどのソーシャルネットワーキングサービス及び書籍において、当社や当社の次世代mRNAワクチンに対する名誉毀損の発言を行ったことにより、当該製品について誤った知識を拡散させ、被告の当該行為により当社の名誉が毀損され、無形損害を生じさせたことに加えて、当社が本来であれば得られた利益が失われました。また、被告の当該行為に起因して、当社及び当社製品を取り扱う病院・クリニックに対して、不特定多数人が迷惑電話をかけるようになり、それに対応する人員を割く必要が生じ、経済的損失を被ることとなりました。これらの逸失利益ならびに損失に対する損害賠償を求めるものであります。
4.今後の見通し
本訴訟の進捗に応じて、必要な開示事項が発生した場合には、速やかにお知らせいたします。なお、本訴訟が当社の業績予想に与える影響は軽微です。
