「東京都はお台場に高さ150メートル、横幅250メートルの噴水を建設する計画を9月に発表。完成予定は2025年度末としています。建設の目的は『臨海副都心の魅力をさらに引き出し、より一層の賑わいを創出』『東京の新たな魅力として国内外にアピール』で、都の試算では噴水の経済波及効果は98億円とのことです。
問題はその費用で、総事業費は26億4000万円。そして維持管理費は年間1億5000万円から2億円が見込まれるとしています」（社会部記者）
