衆院選を前に、日本に来る難民や難民申請者の保護に取り組む難民支援協会（JAR）が、全国の立候補者に対して難民保護のあり方を聞いたアンケートを公表している。難民受け入れのあり方は衆院選では大きな争点とはなっていないが、同協会は「日本で暮らす難民自身が、選挙で声を上げることはできない。投票をする際の参考の一つにしてほしい」（生田志織さん）と話している。結果は同協会のホームページへ。

◆1015人に送付し、447人から回答
難民支援協会のホームページから
個別の各候補の回答も全国の各選挙区ごとに自由回答欄も含めて一覧表でみられるようにした。
アンケートでは先進各国に比べ少ないといわれる難民認定のあり方や入管施設への収容のあり方などをどう考えるかについて聞いた。公示日までに事務所連絡先が判明した候補予定者1015人に送付。23日までに44％の447人から回答を得た。回答数は自民党の候補者が33人にとどまった一方、立憲民主は119人となるなど各党で回答率に差が出た。
◆独立した難民認定機関や、収容上限の必要性聞くと
各候補者の回答を集計した政党別のまとめでは、「難民認定に関する入管庁から独立した組織が必要か」について「そう思う」と答えた候補者は自民党では2人（党の回答者全体の6％）にとどまったが共産は216人（99.5％）、立憲は84人（70.5％）だった。
スリランカ女性ウィシュマさんが亡くなったことで問題になった入管収容のあり方については「収容期間に上限を設けるべきか」に関し「そう思う」と答えた候補者は（中略）
