石破茂首相（自民党総裁）は18日、衆院選（27日投開票）の遊説で北海道を訪れた。岩見沢市で行った公明党候補の応援演説では、自身が超党派の「ラーメン議連」（ラーメン文化振興議員連盟）会長であることに触れ「ラーメンの自給率は14％だ。小麦はほとんど輸入で、しょうゆラーメンの原料の大豆もほとんど輸入。チャーシューは国産だけど餌はほとんど輸入だ」と述べ、食料自給率の向上や農業振興を訴えた。
首相は手元のメモを確認するようなしぐさとともに、地元の有名ラーメン店の店名を列挙。（略）
